David Fu, Esq. is the principal of David Fu and Associates, a real estate and business law firm located in Arcadia, California. David advises clients concerning real estate, general business transactions and litigation, and estate planning. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley, his Juris Doctor degree from the University of West Los Angeles, and his Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) in Taxation from Golden Gate University. David is a frequent speaker before real estate, law, and insurance professional organizations.
In 2018, he was honored as the Attorney of the Year by the Small Firm and Solo Section of the California Lawyers Association.
In 2021, David was appointed for a three year term as a lawyer member of the Judicial Council. A state constitutional agency since 1926, the Judicial Council provides policy direction to the courts, the governor, and the Legislature concening court practice, procedure and administration. The Chief Justice serves as the Chair of the Council.
David previously served as the General Counsel to the Chinese American Real Estate Professionals Association, a member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Real Property Section, and as the Co-Chair of the Real Property Section of the State Bar of California for 2012-2013, and as the Chair of the Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation for the State Bar of California ("the JNE Commission").
Before practicing law, Mr. Fu was a commercial real estate broker, participating in the marketing and sale of in excess of $150 million in commercial transactions, in both conventional sale and auction formats.
